How can the 'Eat Out to Help Out' scheme benefit your restaurant?

Updated: Sep 8, 2020

The ‘eat out to help out’ scheme was launched to provide a helping hand to the struggling hospitality industry, now that everything is slowly reopening.

From the 3rd to the 31st of August, restaurants can offer a 50% discount on selected days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday), in the hopes to incentivise diners to enjoy in-venue non-alcoholic drinks and food.

Restaurants simply deduct the money off the bill and claim it back from the government.

There is no minimum spend and the maximum discount available is £10 per diner, but it can be used as many times as diners like.

This is a needed boost for hospitality venues, as only two weeks ago on the 17th of July, 27% of adults said they would be comfortable or very comfortable to dine at a venue compared with 20% the week before.

Whilst the percentage is creeping up, it’s still incredibly low, and as a result, many restaurants are suffering the damaging effects.

The discount can be used in conjunction with other deals, therefore, now is the perfect time to join LUX. By signing up with the discount scheme and LUX, customers not only receive 50% off but 10% back in LUX points to put towards luxury rewards.

Our premium points rewards scheme encourages loyalty and creates repeat custom by changing the behaviours of your customers.

This means that after the scheme ends, you will still be able to incentivise customers to come to your venue.
