This beautifully designed venue specialises in Belgian and local beer, with over 70 different beers and ciders being served every week. Spirits and wines are also available, however, we must say it would be a shame to not try one of the special beers on offer in this winner of the Best Bar in the Bristol Life Awards 2018!
The team and The Strawberry Thief have created a peaceful and atmospheric oasis for customers to enjoy, decorated with the infamous Strawberry Thief wallpaper by William Morris. In the evening, the bar comes alive with low lighting and candles, enticing passers-by to stop and come in.
A food menu is also available, serving Belgian classics using local ingredients that complement the selection of beers. We particularly enjoy the Confit Duck: a taste of home for LUX’s Co-Founder Jess.

Really enjoyed drinking excellent beer in a convivial atmosphere; moules et frites were pretty tasty too. Great evening with old friends and heartily recommended.
My second visit here and definitely not my last. We are so lucky in Bristol to have an inexhaustible list of exceptional food & drink venues which raises the bar for everyone and indeed the Strawberry Thief has risen to the challenge.
